The 8 ohms is a fairly standard impedance for stereo speakers and amplifiers, so the Q-250c by kef is not considered a difficult speaker to drive in terms of nominal impedance. With a sensitivity level of just 87dB, the KEF Q250c is a difficult speaker to control in terms of sensitivity. If you want to listen to music loud, be sure to choose a high-power amplifier.
