Designed and engineered at JBL’s world-famous Acoustic Engineering Center of Excellence in Northridge, California, the Stage 220P is 500W and is the most powerful subwoofer in the Stage Series and delivers the low frequency excitement that customers crave. This subwoofer features a high excursion 12” Polycellulose low-frequency woofer with dual rear firing tuned ports that provides deep, powerful, signature JBL bass.

 12” Polycellulose Ribbed Cone Low-Frequency Woofer

Each speaker in the Stage 2 series features Polycellulose ribbed cone woofers. This pure pulp cone has a proprietary mix of other materials added to improve its rigidity and the ribs echo legendary JBL designs. These woofers produce deep, accurate, room filling bass.

 300-Watts RMS Amplifier

The built-in high-performance 500-watt amplifier provides impactful and memorable sound quality deserving of the JBL name. The 220P can be placed anywhere in the room and connects to your AVR to create a stereo or multi-channel home theater system with impactful bass and unprecedented performance.

 Bass-Reflex Design with Dual Rear-Firing Flared Ports

The Bass-Reflex design of the 220P use dual rear-firing flared ports. This new flared design reduces the velocity of the air when exiting the speaker cabinet, eliminating any chuffing or coloration of output.
