Product Description

The ELAC Debut Reference DBR62 is a premium audiophile bookshelf speaker designed to deliver exceptional musicality, refined detail, and immersive sound staging far beyond its price category.

Created by legendary loudspeaker designer Andrew Jones, the DBR62 builds upon the success of ELAC’s award-winning Debut Series while introducing upgraded cabinet construction, enhanced crossover tuning, improved driver technology, and a more premium aesthetic. The result is a bookshelf speaker that blends audiophile refinement with everyday listening enjoyment.

At the heart of the DBR62 is a carefully engineered:

• 6.5-inch aramid fiber woofer

• 1-inch soft dome tweeter

• Wide-dispersion waveguide

• 2-way bass reflex architecture

• Dual flared slot ports

This sophisticated driver configuration delivers:

• Wide stereo imaging

• Smooth detailed treble

• Tight controlled bass

• Natural vocal presentation

• Excellent tonal balance

One of the standout upgrades in the Debut Reference series is the newly developed waveguide design for the tweeter. Combined with a more open grille structure, it improves:

• High-frequency extension

• Off-axis listening

• Imaging precision

• Soundstage depth

• Overall clarity

The custom aramid fiber woofer uses a newly developed cast chassis for greater rigidity and reduced resonance. ELAC also reinforces the cabinet using full perimeter internal bracing to minimize coloration and improve sonic accuracy.

The DBR62 is especially praised for:

• Smooth fatigue-free sound

• Excellent midrange performance

• Balanced tonal character

• Spacious presentation

• Exceptional value for money

What Hi-Fi? described the DBR62 as transparent, even-handed, and highly refined when paired with quality amplification.

The elegant cabinet finish combines:

• Walnut cabinet with black front baffle

• Oak cabinet with white front baffle

• Premium contemporary styling

• Compact placement-friendly dimensions

This allows the DBR62 to integrate beautifully into both dedicated listening rooms and modern living spaces.

Whether used for:

• Audiophile stereo listening

…the ELAC DBR62 delivers a highly refined listening experience with remarkable depth, clarity, and musical emotion.
